I find it so sad in this day and age that ‘beautiful’ people are treated far better than ‘average’ people. Skinniness is praised over curves, light golden skin over pale or dark, long thick hair, long nails, long lashes, long legs... the list is endless, senseless and the majority of time the ‘beauty’ is all false anyway - when you take a wetwipe to your face or have a shower what you’re left with is what’s truly beautiful, yourself. My makeup abilities truly suck, I only ever do a small flick of eyeliner and even then it’s wonky! But when I’ve had my hair and makeup done I notice how much better people treat me and it’s so bizarre. I became a model at the age of 18 and quickly realised you can get places in life based purely on how you look - not your hard work ethic, kindness or knowledge. But I wanted to use my brain, heart and soul instead, because eventually looks fade and then what are you left with? You can be whatever you want to be in life, dress and look however you choose in order to feel comfortable - just never forget yourself in the process, masked from the world creating the perfect impression of something that doesn’t exist because one day you’ll have to be yourself without any walls, barriers or tools to create ‘beauty’ my darlings -----------------------
