“There is no bigger adrenaline rush than being face to face with probably the most sought after big cat in the world. And to see him in such a lush green setting drinking water from a rain puddle was truly special. We had tracked him to this place two days prior using alarm calls of the Langur Monkeys and the Malabar Giant Squirrel. He was resting on a tree at a distance and was constantly mobbed by at least 50 Crows. That is when we knew he had killed something big and would not move from the area for the next 3-4 days. And with the only water source close to him being this rain puddle, it was just a matter of time before he emerged out of the undergrowth and quenched his thirst.
