The World at Night project
On this night near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, I was on a documentary filming project about the pristine night sky of Chile. On this spectacular moment the moon was rising over volcanoes bordering Bolivia, with a cactus forest in the foreground. The Milky Way was still visible high in the sky, before vanished by the rising moon. The three brighter spots in the middle top are Mars, Antares, and Saturn.
