Photo by @brianfinke // Ocean Rowing .. Where teams compete in an ocean rowing race traveling approximately 3,000 miles from the Canary Islands to Barbados. The competition is made up of solo operated boats to teams of five people that face the hazardous ocean with 50 foot swells. Two boats capsized, one was rescued by an ocean liner on its way to Africa and the other a cruise ship. The winning boat crossed the Atlantic in 40 days, 9 hours, and 15 minutes. The Atlantic Rowing race is self described as the World’s Toughest Row.
