ニューヨーク・タイムズのインスタグラム(nytimes) - 7月16日 12時07分

“I always feel like I’m intruding by people-watching,” Darcie Wilder writes this weekend in @nytimesfashion. “As if I’m breaking the rules. That in some way we’re supposed to be minding our business, and that it is somehow disingenuous to observe with the intention of just observing. As if observation is unnecessary or unbecoming if done without consent. As if it’s impolite to see others, or see yourself seeing others.” But there’s so much to see in New York — and the photographer @photodre, who took these pictures, spends a lot of time looking. He shoots regularly for our weekly column, #TheLookNYT, walking up and down the streets of New York to capture the people that make the city come alive. Over time, our editor @lyonse began to notice a theme in his work: people who reflect one another. So she asked @arnold_daniel and @photodre to go out in search of #twinning New Yorkers. “I have always been fascinated by people on the streets who emulate one another's style,” she said. “I was interested in the fact that it also existed in Andre and Daniel's work.” Visit the link in our profile to read about the impolite pleasure of people-watching, and to see more photos by @photodre —who work is featured here — and @arnold_daniel.
