I've seen a million photos from lifestyle/fashion bloggers sitting in front of this #yumikim wall on the Lower East Side. You can click the location tag to see them all. It always looks so perfect and glamorous, so in the interest of posting more photos of myself (my new mission), I decided to take a walk over there with Allie the other day when I was in the city. What all the fabulous lifestyle/fashion bloggers won't tell you (but I will) is that you literally have to sit on top of a dumpster to get the shot. We actually had to wait for two people to finish going through the dumpster before we could snap our photo. And then I had to move an empty fly-infested pizza box with my hands so that I could climb on. So. If you follow any of those other accounts and envy their lives, just know the real deal. They might be wearing designer dresses but they are sitting on garbage. I can't even make fun of them, because I'm sitting on garbage too. In a shirt I've owned since before my kids were born, mind you. You should feel pretty good about your life choices.
