Photo by @jonathan_irish // Bottlenose dolphins ride the bow of our expedition ship as we go through the lagoon pass at Fakarava atoll in French Polynesia. We went through this pass right at sunset, which accounts for the deep blues and highlights of gold on the water that make it almost look like a watercolor painting. Every once in a while, one of the dolphins would get up enough speed to jump right up towards us as we sat staring straight down upon them.
