Let’s celebrate #NationalLighthouseDay with this gorgeous #sunset from #Acadia #NationalPark's iconic Bass Harbor Head Light. Built in 1858, Bass Harbor is the only lighthouse on Mount Desert Island in #Maine and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Currently a private residence for the commander of the local Coast Guard unit, the #lighthouse has short trails on either side that provide spectacular views.
