What’s wrong with this picture?
This tent is entirely too close to the water. Regulations state that tents need to be 200 feet away from the water. Why? So that you stay out of sight of other hikers when possible and give wildlife an unobstructed path to the water. Being considerate in the backcountry is really important, and it’s a bummer when people flaunt the rules. How do you handle it when you see mishaps like this on the trail?
