Each day we’re gifted with moments of beauty. Some days overflow with its magic whereas other days trickle with it. The overflow sows goodness into our roots and foundation and the trickle tests our faith to hold onto the truth of that goodness. So often when the overflow begins to slow down, we panic with fear that it will never come back and if we hold onto those worries, they can choke out the stream itself. What we don’t realize is the slowing down only lends itself to the building up so that when the overflow comes back again, it’s even stronger and steadier than before. These are lessons I learn from my love, the hero of my heart, who somehow knows how to steady my ship, especially when I really need it. I’m so thankful to walk through life with not just a husband and lover, but a best friend who knows me through and through and loves me in all of it. That makes me the richest of all souls and my heart is so grateful.
