Her Amazon wishlist will be in my bio and on my stories all day today! In her own words, "Hey Busy! I have spent the last four years working at a wonderful school in Tampa, Broward Elementary. We are in the 8th largest school district in the nation, Hillsborough County. We have a lot of classifications because of our low income status. Currently, we are called a High Needs School and an Achievement School. Majority of our kids live in a project housing community called Robles Park. Our kids are wonderful though, just starving to learn. I teach language arts to some curious and funny fourth graders. A lot of my books in my class library go missing when kids ask to borrow them. I can’t say I’m even the slightest bit mad though, these kids don’t have books at home. While they love reading at school, it’s not a focus at home so it’s hard for them to keep that love of reading going. So, go ahead keep a book. Reread it. Love it. Read it to your siblings. I’ll take the hit and buy more books. The only issue is I don’t make enough money to replenish my classroom library. So my wishlist is all about building my library up and getting books of different genres for these kids to read and build their love of reading.
