We don’t mean to brag, but dag, doesn’t Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton costume amaze and astonish?? In 2016, Paul Tazewell won a Tony for Best Costume Design in a Musical for “Hamilton: An American Musical,” one of the musical’s 11 Tony wins.
In 2017, our curators didn’t throw away their shot to tell that story. The costume joined our impressive collection of theatrical costumes—and it also enhances our understanding of philanthropy history.
