“Little Ladies: Victorian Fashion Dolls and the Feminine Ideal” opens next month, featuring several Victorian Dolls and their lavish wardrobes. Martina Ferrari, the Costume and Textiles Conservation Fellow, is shown here wet cleaning a printed dressing gown measuring only 18 inches tall. The wet cleaning process helps to reduce yellowing and stains, and brightens up the fabric—making sure the dolls look their very best! These exquisite little ladies and their delightful miniature accessories will be on view starting November 11. #BehindTheScenes
