Take a hike!

It’s #nationaltakeahikeday! This is from one of my favorite recent hikes in Alaska. I was so lucky to take a small ship cruise with @uncruise adventures. Besides the small boat, one of my favorite things was that all the excursions were included.

So everyday I got to pick what I wanted to go out and do, and if hiking through the forests of the inside passage were on the schedule I was there.
.
We hiked deep into the Tongass National Forest, not following and trails, but blazing our own. We’d come upon massive old trees like this, streams, moose tracks and mossy vegetation we ducked under. I loved seeing nature this way.
