Under stormy skies an alpha #meerkat surveying the land for predators this morning before calling to the clan to emerge. Meerkats are in the mongoose family, which basically means they’re fearless and bad ass. Survival in the Kalahari isn’t an easy thing, the temperature fluctuations are largely dramatic and adaptation here is a prerequisite. Meerkats rely on one another and are extremely tight knit, it’s always a joy watching them work as a team all for the greater good of the pack. @tswalu @danahrichardson @juliefranzrich @jacadatravel @hydroflask @barry_peiser
