This, the first image processed since @NASAHubble went dark due to a mechanical failure, is a field of galaxies not far from the Great Square in the constellation Pegasus captured on the morning of Oct. 27. Nearly three weeks prior, on Oct. 5, the orbiting observatory had put itself into “safe mode” after one of its gyroscopes (or “gyros”) failed. Now, after a team of engineers and experts have gotten the telescope exploring the cosmos once again, Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 captured this field of star-forming galaxies up to 11 billion light-years away.
