Even though we started celebrating our own version of Christmas with the kids a few years ago, I still want to make sure that they identify Hanukkah as our main family holiday tradition. We do eight night of presents, a family Hanukah party with latkes and dreidel, the mensch on the bench (our version of elf on the shelf) and we light the menorah each night.
