This behavior is why we originally explored the #Belyaev #foxes’ capacity to be search and rescue “foxes” in avalanche rescue.... unfortunately, we determined that they could not be trained to be reliable for SAR work.... but we never give up on finding a way to heal humans through helping canids.... .
We are exploring ways their genetics can help provide insight into human social bonding disorders thru our collaborations with geneticists... how can insights into their behavior provide clues to human disorders, to why dogs are man’s BFF... how can our relationship with canids help heal our soul... help teach us how to live a life of dignity, peace, compassion, and joy? .
