Mohsin has a beautiful, happy heart and was always smiling when we meet him, even in the most hardest of working conditions he had joy. Mohsin’s mother died when he was very young, and his father abandoned him on the streets. He works as a porter boy at Sadarghat Ferry Terminal in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He carries passengers’ luggage off the boats. UNICEF, in coordination with the Government of Bangladesh, has set-up a makeshift school in the terminal so that child workers, like Moshin, have a chance to get an education. There are also emergency night shelters in Dhaka to provide children with a safe place to sleep, nutritious meals, and access to support from social workers.
