There are only a couple weeks left to explore “Chippendale’s Director: The Designs and Legacy of a Furniture Maker,” on view through January 27. The exhibition looks closely at how Thomas Chippendale’s influential book of furniture designs, “The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker's Director,” cemented his name as England's most famous cabinetmaker and endured to inspire furniture design up to the present day.
