Would you move to Mars? It may become a possibility (as long as you have a spare $500,000), according to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

The billionaire said he’s “confident” that traveling to the planet will one day cost less than $500,000 — or maybe even as low as $100,000. Musk said the cost of moving to Mars will be “low enough that most people in advanced economies could sell their home on Earth [and] move to Mars if they want.” And if you’re worried about how much it would cost to return to Earth, don’t be. Musk said return trips would be free of cost.

SpaceX is aiming to send its first rocket, which will only carry cargo, to Mars by 2022. The company’s second mission is set for 2024 and will carry both cargo and crew members.
