Me earliest attraction to photography was how a picture has the power to become a time capsule. I’m a sucker for nostalgia and for me a photo reignites our senses and emotions more powerfully than anything else. I shot this photo in 2016 while traveling through Iceland with @danahrichardson - We were driving through a pounding blizzard on the ring road when we faintly spotted this beautiful herd of horses grazing in the distance among the heavy snow. I pulled the car over, unconcerned that we may now be stuck, grabbed my camera and ran into the field without a jacket like an idiot. To my surprise the horses approached me rapidly, giving me just enough time to snap off about a dozen frames before the herd surrounded my, sniffing investigatingly and blocking my from the icy wind.
