Sure you take care of your body but what about your mind? ? I’ve been meditating on and off for years. There’s been brief periods where I meditated twice a day and other times where it disappeared from my life completely ??‍♀️ Last week I watched a documentary called Heal. It had some serious doses of pseudoscience but the general message of taking care of your mind hit home with me. I’m doing everything I can to support my body in its recovery from surgery, but my mind needs some love too ?? There and then @antonymaule and I spontaneously booked onto a @willwilliamsmeditation meditation course for this weekend ??‍♀️ It was a 3 day transcendental meditation course which had left me feeling super inspired to take back up a consistent practice. My current goal is twice a day for around 20 minutes which is said to give the best results. Honestly, that quantity sounds quite scary but I’m going to give it my best shot, be gentle with myself and find what works for me. No self-judgement. Ant is also feeling super passionate about it so we can do it together, which should make things easier.
