It took the team four days to reach the summit, moving slowly through loose rock to achieve this incredible view. I took this photograph from an adjacent tower on the day of the ascent, waking up at 3 a.m. and battling my way up a vertical rock and jungle maze in the dark to beat the team to their summit. Somehow the stars aligned and I got to my vantage point just as the sun came up and Cedar crested the summit, a mixture of planning and luck!
