フィラデルフィア美術館のインスタグラム(philamuseum) - 3月1日 06時37分
We're wrapping up our celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth by highlighting Henry Ossawa Tanner—the first African American artist whose work was acquired for our collection. “The Annunciation” was painted in 1898 and purchased by the museum in 1899. Although “The Annunciation” is currently away on loan, you can see two other works by Tanner in the galleries: a touching portrait of his mother and vivid sketch made on a visit to Morocco.
