Folks we have a problem and need your help.
It seems that many people are upset about our recent campaign to inspire pet stores to only use Adoption Partners who don't condone or perform declawing.?

This is a very sad post on Pet Supplies Plus’ facebook page. (Pro-declawers, if you are going to use my photo then please don't crop off citythekitty.org) .
It seems that these people have been deceived to think that there are only two choices in this issue, DEATH or DECLAW. .
When you see things like this, we ask you to PLEASE respectfully remind these folks these things.
If you EDUCATE the public about the awful facts about declawing and educate them about the easy, humane options then there won't be a demand for declawed cats.

Please remind them that if they have been told that declawing is the same as spaying/neutering or that there are no negative effects to declawing if it is done at a young age or by a skilled vet, then they have been LIED to. .
It is appalling that anyone would LIE and deceive the public about a mutilating amputation procedure that ALWAYS harms the long-term health and well-being of a cat. #FACT

Remember to ALWAYS take the high road and be respectful and if you see anyone out of line, please remind them that it hurts the cause, it's wrong, and it often hurts us when they are mean or threatening.
