The Countess of Wessex gives a speech at the @unitednations, during The President of the General Assembly’s ‘Women in Power’ event earlier this week.
The Countess spoke about the challenges facing women’s participation and leadership in peace processes, the role and responsibility of the UN, and initiatives such as the UK's Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
The Countess of Wessex was attending the 'Commission on the Status of Women' at the @unitednations in New York. The Commission promotes women’s rights and gender equality - an area The Countess has long supported.
