Several times I woke up at 3AM, made the drive over to Tasman Lake, then the 30-45 minute trek in the pitch black to find myself all alone at the lake's shore for some night sky and sunrise shooting. Most of the attempts resulted in less than ideal conditions, but this time the clouds held off just enough to allow for the capture of the stars.
