Bald eagle family dinner! Newly hatched #baldeagle #chicks get high protein meals, mostly of #fish, from their parents. The adults capture and tear the fish into small strips, gently offering them to the young eaglets. They’ll eat as much as they can in a single feeding, storing food in their crop for later. In between feedings, the adults will brood the chicks, keeping them warm and protected from predators. At about nine or ten weeks they take their first flight -- they grow up so fast! 🦅
