Prayers and celebration rang through the streets of #Lhasa yesterday during the climax of the #SagaDawaFestival. The festival signifies the birthday and day that Sakyamuni entered nirvana. Buddhist followers walk around the outer part of Lhasa reciting scriptures while walking on the 8,000-metre-long outer ring of Lhasa, forming a grand parade. This is my first time visiting Lhasa and I knew nothing of this coming in, I initially thought this was the norm until later learning of this special occasion.
