Founded by Hyères native Jean-Pierre Blanc en 1986, it’s rather difficult to beat the annual festival’s formula, which is one part breathtaking French Riviera landscape, and another part glamorously relaxed atmosphere, the mix further spiced up by the avant-garde sense of chic provided by Louis Mallet-Stevens’s aristo-modernist Villa Noailles, where most of the four days of action takes place. This year's Grand Prix Première Vision award went to Austrian designer Christoph Rumpf (@theglasspunk), a student of Vienna's University of Applied Arts who has interned with Craig Green. He presented a whimsical, poetic, visually compelling menswear collection with mainly repurposed fabrics.
