This is my grandmothers skirt. Somewhere between the layers of this fabric lies years - no; lifetimes, of mothering. 50 years ago she was wearing this same skirt, just like I am today, holding my mother in her arms.
I would not be here if not for her. When she was pregnant with my mother, she also carried me. When my mother was pregnant with me she held the egg that would become Lea Luna in her womb. Pregnancy is three generations meeting in one body.
Every mother that came before us paved the way for us to be here, now.
