But when @ComfortivaShoes contacted me to put together four different outfits to show off their summer sandal collection, I was not about to turn them down. My main issue was— I wear the same things all the time and couldn't imagine what I could possibly put together that would look different than the outfits you guys have seen me in 1000X before. The only new clothes I had to work with were a bunch of casual dresses from Target I bought to wear around the house this summer. You know, the kind of dresses that feel like comfy pajamas at home but you wouldn't be embarrassed to wear to camp drop-off? I threw on an elastic waisted blue denim dress with a pair of brown sandals. It was cute but boring. Then I got inspired. You know those fashion vloggers on Instagram who post quickly cut videos of themselves trying on five different outfits with various layers and accessories and they all look fabulous? And you’re like— I would never think to put those things together! That woman would add a belt, a necklace and a boxy sweater and turn this pajama-esque dress into something insta-worthy.
