Loads of people message me about keeping motivated when it comes to training. In my book I talk about the easiest way for me to keep on track and its to shut out everyone else’s progress, meals, pictures, quotes etc... and only focus on me. The days of comparing myself to others are long gone. Years gone in fact! And that’s because we’re all different. If I gave my EXACT diet to someone who’s 5ft 1 with a sedentary lifestyle they will gain weight. That’s because I’m 5ft 9 with a very active lifestyle. What has been, and will be my go too are my own personal pictures and achievements of when I felt MY absolute healthiest, most energetic, strong, and most of all HAPPIEST. Above is an example of that and will be something I’ll watch when I feel ready to get back to it. As well as putting a picture of my post baby body on my mirror as a reminder of how incredible my body is and what it’s achieved in growing, housing and birthing my baby (So many woman hate looking at themselves like that, but I personally think it’s when we look our most incredible!) My physique may not look how others want to look, they may not find it appealing and that’s why you have to shut them out and focus on just you. You’ll find at first a lot of people ask you WHY you do it? But in time, they start to ask HOW you did it? 😏 Comparison is and always will be the theft of joy. Yes it’s good to look at others for motivation, but don’t base them on YOUR final goal or destination. They aren’t YOU and that’s what makes YOU so special. 🙋🏼‍♀️💪🏼❤️
