During our time in Jasper, an unexpected heavy, early season snowstorm blanketed the Rockies, resulting in landscapes dramatically different to those we saw earlier in the trip. Needless to say, I was excited about all these new photographic opportunities! After returning to the Banff area and the reopening of the Icefields Parkway, I made my way back to Peyto Lake at sunset. Usually bustling with visitors, Peyto Lake was deserted, with me stepping through the snow the only sound I could hear.
