Or, more precisely, by the lack of memory. My own amnesia as well as that of a number of societies and countries that do not want to remember some dark side or periods of their history. And I am concerned with, and obsessed by, the repetition of history. . This Jewish kid I photographed in Paris in the 80s reminded me consciously or unconsciously of the famous image of the kid from the Warsaw ghetto with a cap on his head and his hands up. And consequently, this picture brings us back to the killing of six million jews, and to antisemitism, which unfortunately sprouts up these days as if the lessons of history were useless.” - @pzachmann .
