The results from our poll are in. Dr Marie Breuker, a declawing veterinarian from Fremont Animal Hospital in West Michigan, told us in an email, "Many Americans are lazy and many prefer declawed cats even with the knowledge of the negative repercussions."
🙀😿 We wanted to know if you agree or disagree with what this declawing vet said.
Thankfully 293 people disagree with what Dr Breuker said but we are disheartened to say that 256 people agreed with Dr Marie Breuker and think that Americans are lazy and don't care if they harm their beloved cat's health and well-being for life by having them declawed. 😿💔💔💔 We believe that if cat owners are educated about the facts about declawing, then they will be decent human beings and caring cat owners and won't want to harm their beloved cats and they will use the easy, humane alternatives.👍🏻 (Dr Marie Breuker and Fremont Animal Hospital also declaw kittens for a local animal rescue. Those innocent kittens were never given a chance to show they will use the humane options like scratching posts and nail trims.) 😾😾😾

Lazy is “recommending” amputation as if it’s part of routine wellness and prevention for new kittens rather educating clients. Getting paid to mutilate cats, even having taken an oath? shonea1 I think if people were more educated, and not by a declawing vet, they might make better choices. If you choose your furniture over the well being of your pet, maybe you should not have one
