"I can see what I want to paint. The thing that makes you want to create is still there."—Georgia O'Keeffe
…
#GeorgiaOKeeffe painted “From a Day with Juan II” (1977) when she was 90 years old while suffering from failing eyesight due to macular degeneration. Cataloguer Margot Yale shares how this work challenged her expectations of one of her favorite artists, and ultimately became a symbol of O’Keeffe’s tenacity. What old friends are you looking forward to visiting when the #newMoMA reopens this fall?

The art world is a funny place that often promotes mediocrity in the name of fine art. Warhol added color to others photos or ripped off designs entirely and it was pop art. This is two gradients on a page and looks like paint practice work I was given in junior high.

I just assume this is for people who don’t want a real job and don’t want to be called unemployed.
