Animals often perceive eye contact as aggression, so if you cover one eye with your hand or your camera, they feel less threatened. Llama-trekking is one of the many activities available in remote parts of Montana. With their padded foot, cleanliness, calm nature and ability to browse on a variety of vegetation, llamas have no more impact in the high country than a deer.
