Giving @healthychefsteph her first chicken cuddle 🐓 There’s nothing I love more than coming home to Yorkshire, seeing my parents, cuddling the chickens, stroking the sheep, breathing in the country air and eating freshly picked produce straight from the veg patch! 🌱 As someone who was born and raised in the middle of nowhere, London living can be a shock to the system! queenofthebroccoli Oh I just saw your question stories where you mentioned East Yorkshire and what your dad does then realised your last name! Did your dad have Van Dijk Nurseries? I used to live next door (but 1) to it (parents still there now, though it's obviously not Van Dijk Nurseries now) didn't realise you were a Yorkshire lass, though in trusty good timing seeing your plant stories before that 1 I did think 'that's a familiar accent' ha, just takes my brain awhile sometimes (-: London has its plus points but wide open spaces are always the best (-:

roses_and_radishes Love it! I’m in the same situation, going home is so therapeutic though we don’t have sheep just chickens and around 70 varieties of fruit trees and a huge veggie patch. My dream is to get my own land in the country and turn it into something amazing with plants

tallgirlbigworld I grew up in the Midwest and have spent the last 3 years in NYC. it's so hard finding that balance between big city life and living in the middle of nowhere. I love both, so I can never decide which I want long term!
