The long-shot Presidential candidate Andrew Yang’s technocratic populism has attracted displaced workers, tech-industry venture capitalists, libertarians, Trump supporters, and proud Asian-Americans. The odds that he lasts long in the race are slim, but in the contest to describe what's wrong with America he has become a compelling figure. Tap the link in our bio to learn why.

ppl say they want something new. notice how the press is looking past him? he is the candidate who sounds completely different from everyone who’s come before. while the other candidates argue about the big problems in our faces, Yang is addressing the Whitewalker that’s coming..most don’t hear bc they’re blindly enamored with tech..

As a long time New Yorker reader, I greatly appreciate that New Yorker is doing the real coverage of the primary, rather than just chasing the top few candidates. I think the article is very well-written and enjoyed reading it. As a Yang supporter, I think the article really captured the gist of Yang's campaign and his personality.

I really like yang. I like his ideas and he reasoning for what's going on and how a freedom dividend will help a lot of people and relieve a lot of stress that has people blaming others and making poor decisions.

I wonder if he could break out of the pack the same way Jimmy Carter did in '76. Yang could represent a new and more inclusive populism.
