This my friends is what a “figure-4” looks like 😶 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
An awkward position to get in to and even more complicated to get out of 😬
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Give it a try, but make sure you stretch first!

@austinclimber When moving through steep terrain you can't use your feet in ice climbing, so in order to move you have two options: Campusing (but how to put in the ice pick then?) or Figure of Four
hoklandsteffen
It’s the second most beautiful figure of 4 this season (possibly the second figure of 4 in total 😂). @mia.krampl took the prize with her Ws4 top with a busted knee.

@austinclimber I mean it's not really a normal climbing move but if it helps you get that bit extra reach and look cool at the same time? Why the fuck not
thesummerdave
@kroftoclimbing It's a static move so you avoid the risk that comes with campusing in lead routes
austinclimber
I’ve noticed a lot of ice climbers do this. Anyone know why/how this can be used for rock?

That was awesome to watch - we were gutted when you couldn't undo it though 😎
