It is those competitions that we should strive for as a broader athlete competing for our country. Although it is not the same as the World Cup circuit, the organization and magnitude of the event is far superior. When completing the post games survey, I couldn't think of anything @teamCanada could've done better because it was seriously the most supported and most organized competition of the year. Hats off to the whole team. 👏 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finals was some of the best highs and lowest lows of my career. To come out of the Boulder round tied for first is something I dream of because my lead climbing is generally my strong point. Having my rib injury sent me through a whole array of emotions. When I got back to isolation, I immediately iced it, it was already swollen and felt awkward. As the pain increased, it brought tears to my eyes, I knew my rib was probably cracked and I didn't know if I could even climb a lead route. Warming up for lead with an ice pack strapped around my trunk was definitely a first for me. The ice helped reduced the swelling but did little for the pain. I cried intermittently not knowing what to do; is it even safe to climb, what if my rib collapses while climbing, so many questions going through my head. I figured the medical staff would tell me if it was unsafe to climb so in my mind it was just a pain tolerance question. I also watch a lot of hockey and am in awe of players that take nasty hits and keep playing. Today I would be that person, and would try to climb no matter how much pain I was in. As a side note, I would not actually recommend this to most readers and athletes. I only went down this path because I know my body and I didn't feel like I was risking anything more than pain and discomfort. The rest of warming up was blurry. I didn't want to distract my fellow Canadians from their warm-up either, they still had a shot for the Olympics on the line. I remember @victorvxb crouching down and giving me a hug, and @rocprof giving me a little pep talk. If anyone could do this... I could. Continued in comments ✍️」11月4日 1時06分 - mccollsean
