Bear Lake is a very popular area at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The .8 mile trail loops around the lake and offers gorgeous views of the lake, forest and mountains. If you want to avoid the crowds, try getting there early in the morning. That way you might get lucky and see an amazing sunrise like this one. samglaza I’m one of the rangers in RMNP stationed at Bear Lake. It’s actually a flat .5 mile trail and if you want parking get in the corridor before 7 am or after 3 pm.

kcp85 Yes! We were just there for sunrise yesterday! Definitely keep hiking to dream lake and emerald lake. Beautiful views!

tippi_canoe I was just there with my family. For sure go super early to avoid the crowds. The park is getting way over populated.
