Marlowe is home and sleeping happily. I have the first shift of doggo care, so we are hanging out together in my office.

mm.weiss So happy Marlowe is on her way to recovery. You both are awesome parents!!! Our Luna (a pittie) has issues with her hind knees. The vet told us it’s from the rescue center fixing her too early (before her first heat) ☹️...she was 5 months old when we rescued her. We just have to keep an eye on her but as you know controlling these little spit fires is close to impossible 😂😂. Love to Marlowe from Luna and I ♥️♥️

lookout2005 Like others have said, there are soft options that might work much better than a cone. Our dog could never get the hang of walking with the cone but after looking at online soft collar options, I made one out of an old sweatshirt. Turned it into a tube stuffed with poly fill and a drawstring at the neck to adjust it. Best wishes to Marlowe and the whole family!

heatherfeather267 Here's to a speedy recovery for your pup. I've had a dog with ACL cruciate repair, no weight initially then leash walk only. It was fun carrying my 60 pound boy up and down the stairs to my 2nd floor apartment. The swelling should go down within the first week. Take care Marlowe!

gogreenjking There is another version besides plastic cone of shame that looks like a strapped around neck brace ... after my mix had surgery we used that over cone. Could at least lay with out the plastic fog and sleep better. See if your vet or vet supply has it.

careypelc If it's helpful at all, my friends dog just had this surgery and the vet suggested doggie pajamas to keep them from licking the incision area. A little more comfortable than the cone, but it depends on the dog. Wishing Marlowe a quick recovery!

meikoami Poor baby! Hope she feels better soon! Btw I bought my dog one of those airplane pillow looking cushions instead of the cone and it was much more comfortable for him. Check it out on amazon and it might make Marlowe happier!
