This kills me... here’s a first born US citizen crying bc she went to school n had to sleep in her gym w other kids who’s parents never made it to pick them up & take them home. So many of ya’ll want to say “well her dad shouldn’t have broken the law n come here illegally.” But what u fail to realize becoming a legal US citizen now has become harder n harder throughout the yrs.

I look at this lil girl n I put myself in her shoes. My parents came here as illegal immigrants ...they worked at a factory in hopes to bring my two bros over from Ecuador ...the factory got raided & my parents were taken into immigration. Had it not been for an opportunity given to my parents to stay here to work legally they woulda been deported....yrs later I was born. My bros & parents were living in the states LEGALLY & they didn’t become US citizen until many, many yrs later. It was during the time George Bush Jr was president that LEGAL immigrants were being threatened deportation if they didn’t become US citizens. I was in HS at the time. My bros in college, working , they also contributed into the family. I remember making tap recordings of me asking the US citizen test question and then giving the answer so my parents could study while at work in their walk men. I would tutor my parents after work & freaking out when they couldn’t remember an answer bc I was so scared they would fail the test n be deported. We practiced day in n day out. Fortunately, they all became US citizens. .
My mother was a seamstress for one of the top manufacturer clothing factory in the US. My dad a jeweler for one of the top jewlery companies in the US. They both worked over n beyond for the same employer for 30+years never missing a day of work , out in OT, didn’t take vacation. they did this up until the US economy crashed , causing their workplace to either close down or cut back. Btwn then n until their early retirement , they continued to find work. They contributed to this country just as so many immigrants do. My point in sharing this story is this :
... i look at this lil girl & it pains me. I coulda been her. Her father coulda been my parents. My prayers go out to all them🙏🏼💜

milano_cookie1 Lmao I love how the left paints this shit. The people being held have the opportunity to leave whenever they like. They are NOT being detained against their will, they are not being treated like the Jews in the holocaust, which is what a number of left leaning people have said, they can get there stuff and leave at any time, they choose to stay because they think that staying there, the government is going to eventually say “ok let them all free into our country” we have become a nation of prosperity and we HAVE to go though thorough checks and background searches to make sure that the people coming in to our country are worthy of the freedoms and opportunities that America offers that NO one country on the planet does. So this kind of shit really makes me angry how you can take a small video of a girl crying because her father broke the law, and use to perpetuate actual reform. If you want change, don’t cry on social media, don’t cry in front of a camera, don’t cry on at the dinner table, go and fucking petition, go call your governors, go do something that doesn’t make you look self obsessed, for instance, going on Instagram and talking about reform but not actually doing anything about real change.

Did you know the UN investigators are getting their visas blocked by the trump administration? We’re living in a fascist regime. Trump literally does not care what likes/retweets get because he controls the senate/Supreme Court/ and apparently is now even interfering with United Nations. This is heartbreaking but it is NOT productive, we need to be empowered to actually contribute to the the political climate. We can start by 1) signing petitions to ensure that our issues are represented on our local ballot 2) calling our representatives 3) VOTING! I’m sure that there is much more you can do than that as an influencer but you should feel grateful that you’re in the position you are and make some phone calls to political offices you admire and see how you can make a difference bc at this point if were not gonna get help if we don’t help ourselves

lainerhye Mmmm why you having kids and putting them through all of this? Trump is only taking care of the ones who have been her illegally for YEARS!! People had years upon years to become a citizen (just like my family too since we all wanna bring out our stories 🙄so don’t get it twisted) and just because now there is a president doing something about the ones who haven’t had “time” do get their shit in order, they wanna play the victim. Everyone has a story but it’s the ones who HAVE been working towards citizenship, who HAVE been making their children stop acting like lil stupid millennials and start contributing and working towards an actual fucking career and who HAVE not been blaming the president for everything thing wrong in this world, who will succeed. Count your blessings if you’re from the US and stop blaming one person for all the problems you could have helped fix a long ass time ago.

bubblesdf3 This poor little girl doesn't deserve this at all. None of those babies deserve such treatment to be without their parents who love them. The families need to be reunited and keeping them apart is only confusing all of the children. I couldn't imagine what all of those babies are going through. The FATHER of my first two children was from Mexico City. He came to the United States by crossing the River. Had me never made it across I wouldn't have met him. Or had my first two boys with him. Sadly I lost my Fiance/Father of my two children and our two year old at the same time. While I was pregnant and almost died too. Our Son is now 14 and I have a 12 year old also by a man who is an absent parent. I couldn't imagine being away from my boys for one second. This is our torture and inhumane to be separated from their parents. This needs to stop! #ENOUGHISENOUGH

As if being stomped on by the British in the past was easy. No , it wasn’t, but if my people, like the Hindus can come here the right way by petitioning then so can anyone. I have brothers and sister who are dying out in Fiji/ India, but you still have to petition. It’s sad how they use kids to make videos to make us feel bad for themselves. Why don’t they use the feed from India 3 weeks ago with the 2 year old being beheaded at the train station by some predators just out in the open. Life’s tough.
