I love Mulberries so much I think there my favourite berries . So tasty, so unusual and full of bonkers fat juicy berry Gorgeousness. There is no way to pick them with out alot of mess - check this wonderful old mulberry tree out twisted and contorted - get the berries while there good as they won’t hang around either the wind or the bees 🐝 will enjoy them. I’m feeling crumbles, home made vinegar @vinegarshed and a sorbet or ice cream @hillstreetuk —— how do you love your mulberries folks ?? Joxxxxx

Oh @jamieoliver this is my childhood right here ❤️ I was lucky enough to have an old 100 year old enormous tree that we were able to climb. My mum used to make mulberry cakes, muffins, pies & so much jam! I miss it so much. I haven’t been able to find any trees since we moved, every summer I’m hunting for anyone that might be selling them. I would have to agree it is my favourite berry too. However my in-laws have recently bought some trees that they’ve planted in their orchard, but we still have a few years to wait until they’ll be anything impressive. Enjoy

Oh my goodness what a beautiful old tree . Mulberry trees always remind me of my grandparents who had an old mulberry tree in one of the vicarages that they lived in , I got in terrible trouble for climbing it as they are fragile trees . My sister has a mulberry tree in her garden in he midlands and she makes really delicious jam with the berries @jamieoliver I recommend you make a few it’s of jam !

I just loooooove mulberries and have only seen them once in this country in Althorp gardens of all places. I grew up in Zimbabwe where just about everyone has these trees in their gardens. My childhood in Zimbabwe mainly consisted of purple feet and being shouted at by my mom for staining my clothes because of climbing the trees to get at the juicy fruit, or picking the leaves for our silkworms 😍😘

@jamieoliver your mulberry tree has two main leaders which looks like it may split down the middle of the truck. You may have to make a sacrificial prune on one side during the dormant months or early spring before bud growth 👍🏼 mulberries are my favourite berry also ☺️

You got to eat the ones from Iran. You will travel there every year for mulberry and they are in smoothie, ice cream, juice........I would travel there just for that......they are huge fragrant and sweet and sour......nothing like them in the world. Please do

Our now favourite family summer recipe that we accidentally invented is mulberry pavlova (out of necessity more than anything). Meringue base, whipped cream, mulberries, grated lemon and white chocolate shards. And for the adults mulberry daiquiris. 👌
