The interviews just spoke about how much they LOVED being pregnant including Kourtney Kardashian but what about NOT loving being pregnant? I thought to myself... was I a terrible mom/person because I didn’t “love” being pregnant. Although there's a lot to celebrate about being pregnant and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat because holding your baby is worth all the things I didn’t “love” about my pregnancy but did this make me a bad person? And why don’t women also talk about not really enjoying pregnancy? Maybe this is a topic where some women don’t feel they can be so honest because of being judged, criticized etc. For me, the moment I gave birth to my daughter, I felt relief like I had never known before. Relief that she was healthy, relief that nothing was wrong, relief that the induction had gone well, relief that I'd been stronger than I thought possible, and relief, bitter sweet blessed relief, that it was finally over! Why is it that in society, loving the journey of being pregnant feels “mandatory.” Women who don’t necessarily enjoy every aspect of it, might feel like something is wrong with them because of it.
