This weekend she said “Hey Mom, how about I carry my Epi-pens? I feel like maybe I should start doing that more for myself now that I’m getting a little older.” And I nearly burst into tears because: I wasn’t expecting it, I felt super proud that she was taking the initiative, and I was reminded that one day she’ll be completely responsible for managing this on her own. And honestly, that’s a whole new level of worry that I’m not ready for, but that seems to be the norm when it comes to parenting 🥺 #foodallergies
