The Methow Valley is located on the east slope of the North Cascades along the North Cascades Highway. The valley is accessible year-round but only from the east in winter, as the North Cascades Highway closes because of deep snows. In winter the valley is a cross-country skiing destination with over 120 miles of groomed Nordic skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing trails.
